Tuesday and Thursday have become my days off during the week. Don’t ask me how it happened, but those are the days I end up with the least work to do. Other than taking a few phone calls I did a bunch of nothing yesterday and it was good. A good recovery day from vacation, but today it is back to work and there is a lot to catch up on.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are the days I go to the coworking space to really work on the marketing, and also the day I have a dog to walk. The weekends are when people travel and when I am more likely to end up with pet sitting jobs to help out with. That hasn’t happened enough this summer, but I am hoping the end of July and August will turn those fortunes around.
This slight economic downturn brought on by uncertainty in our economy has not been fun. I do hope that things are stabilizing and we can get back to business as usual. That is the problem with fiduciary currency. It is all based on the faith of the people and when they start having doubts about its value then it can take a little dip. A real recession requires real forces to occur but dips based on the loss of faith occur as well and can do damage to businesses that aren’t prepared.
Phone calls have been coming in a lot more regularly and we are getting more and more interested parties contacting us in various ways. I would like it if everyone would just use the contact form on the website, but our philosophy has always been to meet customers where they are, and a lot of them want to be on the phone.
I still feel a little sore and tired this morning, but nothing like yesterday. That is the problem with vacation. We don’t spend most of our days living life. Instead we sit around avoiding activities outside of designated activity zones.
I am hopeful that today will be productive and I will get everything moving in a positive direction, because it is time to get back to work.
