One of my worst habits is waking-up and focusing on something negative. One week is the closing date of our loan and it has been stuck in conditional approval for two weeks. I find it difficult to rely on other people because other people have not proven themselves to be reliable. That is the big issue that I am having. People make my life more difficult.
That was the negative thing I woke up fixated on this morning. However, yesterday was a great day. I had loads of fun and learned that a three hour drive isn’t that long. It was a really easy drive from here to Woodbridge yesterday. I hit no traffic either way and spent most of the drive in complete comfort.
The one big negative of it was Sheetz no longer has the hot mozzarella sticks, but they do have buckets of sides and I ended up getting a bucket of jalapeno poppers. They weren’t as enjoyable as the hot mozzarella sticks but they were still good and satisfied my spice kick.
At my destination we played video games, in person, with friends, and for a good cause. It was part of the Extra Life fundraising event that goes to help local children’s hospitals. It has always been a fun time in the past and this time was no different.
I played video games I was unfamiliar with and complained like an 80 year old man and some that I was familiar with and finally got to win at something. Overall it was great fun and maybe I’ll give some of those other games a try again.
Once darkness fell and the night rolled in I hit the road back home and made it before I knew it. It was a remarkably easy trip. I think most of the reason is the house I was visiting laid before the traffic truly begins.
I could see it as I was exiting the highway. Just over the ridge heading to Dale City. It is also the middle of autumn and there is no reason for people to be travelling between the beach and Northern Virginia. All of this contributed to a really nice and easy drive.
After all that fun I am going to be hopeful about this coming week and know that everything will work out.
