I am ready to get back to it today. I am looking forward to my work time. The unfortunate part is that it is both delayed and shortened today. I have other work obligations that I am going to have to get to both before and after my scheduled work time.
That means I need to prioritize and prioritize well. I am going to have to knock out a few key things, get those done, and move on quickly to the next task. It isn’t too unfortunate as the work I will be doing is still work for the company, but today isn’t a great day to have it.
Looking back at yesterday I can say that it ended up being a very good day. Had a nice time with my family and got a good bit of relaxing and recovery time in. I also finally got those new pants I needed along with a new set of bedsheets and lightbulbs on the half of the AmEx rewards Target gift card I had.
The only part that was bad was when I went to Target for a pick-up order I placed and decided to take two of the kids. They slowly broke me down. First it was we will just go into the store, then we went to look at the toy aisle to make a list for Christmas, and before I knew it we were walking out of the store with three new toys.
Kids are both dangerous and expensive. Luckily they were small things only. It still adds up and we shouldn’t have done that. I should have told them the trip was their prize. However Roland did pick out a Star Wars toy and is happy with his X-Wing so that makes me happy. It is hard to say no when the kid asks for something you’d’ve liked as a kid.
That is where we are. Yesterday ended up being pretty good, but today needs to be productive. I have to get the newsletter out and a business blog written. After that I just have to do my regular scheduling of Facebook posts. Not that hard, but still important and needing to be done.
