I am sitting here with bills totaling close to $15,000 next to me for a variety of insurances. There is a part of me that wants to call up those companies and ask them what they did with the money I gave them last year. If they had invested it wisely they wouldn’t need another payment already. These insurance companies are just out here blowing our money on cocaine and hookers.
The price of homeowners insurance has gone crazy because of all these unexpected weather events all over the place, and now they are riding it and using it to rip all the rest of us off. That isn’t even the worst of it. The other big bill I got was for a bond I had to get in probate court last year. One that has to stay in effect until the accounting on the estate is done, and the city has been woefully slow in doing anything. In fact I haven’t heard a thing from the city when they were supposed to contact me at some point.
It is annoying to still be dealing with all this. It is surprising to me how slow some services are when we live in a world that is all about getting things done faster and faster. Banks take forever to process anything and insurance companies are always begging for the money the banks are slow to process, and God forbid you need a refund from an insurance company. That is the slowest thing of all.
That is probably why I am so tired. I thought I had gotten us out of the woods and then the woods came and found me. These unexpected bills are a killer and they aren’t in the tens or hundreds of dollars. They’re in the thousands. I am just hoping we don’t have as many lawyer fees coming at us this year. We shouldn’t be who the hell knows.
At this rate when the city does decide to do the accounting we are going to find out that I did it all wrong and they are going to throw me in jail if I don’t give them $40 billion, which I don’t have or any prospects of getting. I am ready for this to all be over. To no longer have to worry about all these deaths and taxes and taxes on death.
