It is morning again and I am here. It is tough when that is all I have to say. Some mornings I wake up full of thoughts. This morning I woke up absent any thinking. My brain went blank and I have no idea what to say. Other than I was suddenly attacked by some weird installer and am worried about the security of my computer.
I haven’t had a bad pop-up type virus on a computer in a very long time and I don’t think those types of viruses exist anymore. Not because there aren’t still viruses but because people have become more malicious. An old fashioned pop-up virus is annoying but it can either be lived with, easily gotten rid of, or is outdated due to pop-up blockers.
I doubt we’d even know if we had a new type of virus. We would suddenly just not have any money or find out there are four more of us in different countries. I doubt modern hackers are interested in annoying people anymore. They are in it to make money, and the best way to make money is to take it.
Then there is information which is even more valuable than money. My lack of that kind of keeps me safe. No one is going to hack me for information because I don’t have any. Kind of like money in that regard.
One way or another I am going to search the name of that installer that randomly popped up. Hopefully it didn’t install anything bad on my hard drive and was working to update something I already have.
