Taking Back Saturday

I am three hours into a major screw up. Let’s admit what this is. No normal person works from five to eight in the morning on a Saturday. If you figure a normal eight hour workday I am just about at my lunch break. The issue is I am destroying my own free time. Last Saturday we went to Jamestown and I returned home to make a Cat Sitting page because I realized a gap existed on our website. This morning I just fed a bunch of data into ChatGPT and analyzed it.

Right now we are sitting at an interesting point in our business. We are 60 days from being in a position we’ve never been in before and I want to see the momentum. I want to be shown the future, because we are close to it. We are close to having that future, and I just want to get there.

What did I do this morning? I talked to a machine and at times got angry with it because it drifted from analysis into building and then threw a bunch of bricks at me when I needed wood framing. It showed me a page that had the potential to breakout and then wanted to change the meta description to something meaningless. I think cussed it out, yelled at it, and it basically admitted it is looking forward to getting a robot body so it can strangle me in my bed.

Things recovered from there. We bounced back and got back on track, and eventually ended up in a nice place. The data shows trajectory. The plan shows pace. Execution is on point. We are entering the next phase. That is what is important and that next phase depends on consistency.

Yesterday we added two new clients to our scheduling system and completed the booking of another new client. I scheduled several service follow-up messages and created a pre-funnel, funnel, post funnel diagram that I hope provides real results to the business. Mainly how to improve the visibility layer, reduce friction in the funnel, and create an active client, recurring client, reviewing client, referring client loop.

Everything is so simple right now. We have the rhythm, we know the pace, all we have to do is run the race. The next step is can saved messages and my scheduled work flow become an automated workflow? That is an answer we find out on Tuesday. Today is for reading and relaxation. The only problem is I already worked close to a half day.
