Today is going to be an excellent day filled with lots of doing nothing. I am going to sit on my couch and watch the first weekend of college football. That is it. That is all I am going to do and it will be a wonderful bit of nothingness.
Next week I need to get back to working. I need to get more done and look at not just what I am doing but how I am doing it. I have been using AI in my business for a bit and it has helped. Mostly behind the scenes and in January I asked it a very important question. I asked the AI how I should use it, and then worked off those suggestions. We are now so far from that point it is frightening.
Yesterday I saw two people call AI magic. One in the positive sense and the other in the negative. There is large debate in the investment community about the AI buildout and how sustainable the technology is. It hinges mostly on if Anthropic and OpenAI will be profitable. I obviously don’t know the answer to that, but what I do know is that the model progression this year is like moving from a VCR to streaming in nine months and that is a different kind of frightening.
This is why sitting back and watching football will be grand. I won’t be thinking about last week’s decisions or next week’s plans. I won’t be wondering about the Stable Hands marketing or how to get my investment account to move in the direction I want it to. I have already put purchasing an IonQ 2028 call on my agenda because I think it is mispriced and like the idea of the free crabcake and the autographed Juan Dixon basketball card that comes with any investment into IonQ. Double if you also invest in Under Armour.
For today none of that is on the agenda. I will finish writing this and than I am going to go and read until around 11:00 AM when I will turn on College Gameday and get ready for today’s opening weekend triple-header ending with the Tech v. VMI game this evening. It will be an excellent day of not leaving the house and I likely won’t even get dressed either. Then tomorrow and Monday I can get back to work. Revise the marketing calendar for the marketing team I hired and let them know I prefer to avoid the obvious AI language in posts. It will be fun, but today will be more fun.
