This entire year I have been worried about automating my work and upset that TTP doesn’t include more of the ability to do so. Then I decided to refresh my AI knowledge with all these new models dropping.
My biggest takeaway from that was to download the desktop app. From there I discovered just how useful Work mode could be, and then I discovered how short lived it could be, and why am I writing about AI after that Skins game yesterday.
Let’s walk through what is really important in life. Things have not being going my way with sports lately. Nothing appeared to be good and then enter the weekend. The last weekend of regular season baseball, college football Saturday, and then NFL Sunday. And what happens? A near perfect sports weekend.
The Nationals took 2 of 3 from the Mets, the Hookies won on Saturday, and then Washington wins in dramatic fashion on Sunday upsetting the defending champs. This is how runs start. The momentum of why not us, why not now. Think about the position Washington entered the game Sunday. Franchise QB injured once again, free agent TE down, starting LT down, no running game to speak of, and still waiting for a second WR to step up. Then the game.
It was a beautiful thing. It wasn’t a bad team taking advantage of an off day. It was two teams that both looked like they should be on that field fighting for every yard and every advantage. Washington with a back-up QB driving the length of the field time after time and rookie Sonny Styles stepping up and taking over the game on defense.
If this team can survive the next two games, get Jayden back, and he can play like he is capable of then this season could go from dead in the water to very interesting very fast, and beating the defending champs is the exact type of moment that can start it off. The type of wave of momentum that can carry a season.
When it comes to sports I am a big believer in it’s the players that make the difference, but everyone of the players in the NFL earned their way there and deserves to be there, and sometimes remembering that is all it takes.
