Nothing Worse Than a Printer

Procrastination can cause a lot of problems. The worst comes about when a task suddenly takes longer than you expected, and this is most likely to happen because of a printer. There is that moment after hitting the button and nothing happening that is quite alarming. Then the realization sets in that this is one of those times that a printer is going to turn a fifteen second job into hours of adventure.

That is how it all starts. The printer malfunctions and our wayward adventurer is on their way. Yesterday I decided it was time to act like we had no printer. So after the one at home failed me I headed to Kinko’s to print what I needed. Thankfully they also had pens so I was able to get the entire task done.

A printer malfunction was one thing I didn’t count on and it threw off my entire day or I let it do that. The day was fine but I was slow and distracted and wasn’t able to get enough of my work done. I worked slow through what I needed to do and let too many other things happen to keep me from working at the correct pace.

That is my issue right now. I keep trying to focus everywhere instead of one place at a time, but I am also unsure how to be one place at a time. This is where my brain completely ran out of steam. I am tired this morning. Very tired. I am ready to go back to bed.

I don’t know why this wave of tiredness suddenly hit me with such force. I was writing about the printer compressing my day and then me making it worse by working distracted. I think we might be nearing the end of this writing today. The point is if I am going to go with the flow I should do it with a more lighthearted attitude instead of wanting to destroy the world’s supply of printers.
