I am going to have a real hard time working today. I don’t have too much to do, and a lot of it can wait until Wednesday, but I do have more work than I would like. I never got today’s blog post written last week and while it isn’t the end of the world if I don’t get it out it still needs to be up. Then there are the social media posts, the client newsletter, and the service start and follow-up messages. I should be able to get this all done in a couple hours and I can divide the day up to do it as well.
This isn’t a daunting task. The issue is I don’t normally do it at home. I go to a place to work and is a place where I work. Right now I just don’t want to. My kids are home. We’re heading to a neighborhood get together later, and I am just not in the mood to do it.
That only matters so much as I view the blog post as mostly bots talking to bots. Putting up AI writing on my business page doesn’t concern me the way it would putting it somewhere else. In fact I might want to start putting AI writing up in other places. That Medium platform I joined because it pays out has yet to pay out because building a following is difficult and when my production is one or two articles a week that also doesn’t help. They introduced a new limit of 500 articles a month. They fully expect AI articles with a cap that high.
I still like the idea of doing something on my own. That is the heart of the matter. If my AI were to write the articles it would be echoing my thoughts, but the way I do it isn’t that much faster than writing myself. I make the AI interview me, and maybe that is what we do with Medium. Instead of the AI writing the articles it helps me brainstorm a few and then I can increase my production. What if I ended my day with ten to fifteen minutes of writing an investing article for Medium.
Who knows. I keep chasing extra ways to earn small amounts of money and I wonder how much more that couple be if I put that time into what I already have going on. It probably works out the same as the so called distractions are refining thinking and helping to move the whole machine forward.
