Politics in America has reached yet another boiling point. Mostly it is my frustration that is boiling. Look we had a good thing. Everything was going in the right direction and then America had to go and elect a chaos actor and then all the calmness turned to chaos. That’s the problem with people. They mistake inaction for lack of progress.
Now we have plenty of action and it is all bad. The war in Iran is just the latest in a list of unwise actions. Just imagine a neighborhood dog keeps pissing in your rose bushes so you take their treats, and then one day make a deal that you’ll give them back their treats if they stop pissing in your rose bushes and it works. Then a few years later your new significant other decides to agitate this dog because they were upset by the deal before you started dating.
That analogy could have been better but you get the point. The jealousies of an insecure moron are running this country and stealing my money. I’m also partly doing it to myself. Yesterday morning I looked at oil futures aren’t $90 and thought, no that’s high enough, and then they went higher. The bad thing is oil is being diverted around the strait, drilling in previously less profitable places is becoming profitable, and every increase in price increases both the desire to drill and our dependence on oil.
I bet you haven’t heard that one in awhile. Reducing our dependence on foreign oil used to be a major political talking point. All of these talking points have died a sad and lonely death as we are reduced to pointing out the White House has yet to release the Epstein Files and we are about fifteen distractions into wondering why Mitch McConnell sleeps with the fishes.
The stability of our country is somewhat amazing. We have a baby man throwing daily temper tantrums on his own social media network he created in one of said temper tantrums, tearing down half the White House (The People’s House), and threatening to tear down more landmarks if they prevent him from forcing himself on them.
All of this is because I would really like my stocks to start reflecting their forward earnings instead of global macro events that are all caused by one man’s psychosis and self obsession.
