Getting Into the Swing

This has been a week. I told my wife the other day that I want to be a cloud of dust floating at the edge of the universe outside the reach of time. She didn’t understand, and I may have written this yesterday. Which begs the question how many of our thoughts are new. The kids have been bad, I’ve spent too much time with them recently, and I get blamed for not stopping some of their actions when I am not the parent they listen to.

Last night felt weird. I reminded my wife that last night was the night I was getting together online with my friends from Northern Virginia to start up a DnD campaign. This would be the third or fourth time I have tried to get into this. We will see if it lasts this time. I made a golden dragonborn sorcerer named Che’Kon TK Mas Allah. Mostly because a lot of the suggested names sounded like food or prescription drugs, and now I kind of wish I named the character Keytruda.

Anyway I don’t know where I have been going with any of this. Currently AI has me feeling disoriented. I set it lose upon my work and now what used to take me a couple hours takes it a few minutes and I am unsure what to do with my time as I can’t transform into a cloud of dust at the edge of the universe beyond the reach of time for the next 15 or so years and then return.

It truly is a sad thing that I can’t do that. Having a small Rip Van Winkle moment wouldn’t be so bad. Who knows what we’d be skipping more of the good times or the bad times of life. That was an interesting time last night. We finished the character creation earlier than I thought we would and my wife seemed disappointed and then we went to sleep and she phrased things oddly. Like she wanted to spend time with me but wanted it to sound like I wanted to spend time with her. Maybe it is because I am a guy and cannot understand women.

Today I need a fifth paragraph, but the time is now up.
